The Transnational Project Meeting of the IMPACT project

The Transnational Project Meeting for the “Increasing Migration and Climate Change Public Awareness through Collaboration and Teaching – IMPACT” initiative was held from October 28 – 29, 2025, in Valladolid, Spain. This meeting was hosted by Fundación Red Íncola and saw the participation of all consortium members involved in the IMPACT project. HESPI, as a member of the consortium, was represented by Dr. Ali Issa Abdi, the Director of HESPI, and Dr. Fredu Nega, a Senior Research Fellow at HESPI.

On the first day of the meeting, consortium members delivered presentations regarding the toolkit developed for the international training scheduled to occur from February 3 – 5, 2026, in Charleroi, Belgium. The first day served as an opportunity to evaluate the toolkit, with discussions following each presentation aimed at enhancing its effectiveness.

The second day included a field visit to the Propuestas Ambientales Educativas (PRAE), an Environmental Park situated near the Antequera Pine Forest in Valladolid. With a strong emphasis on education and environmental awareness, participants were informed about the primary objectives and activities of the PRAE, as well as its commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability. Additionally, participants engaged in escape activities, reflecting on the educational significance of such experiences.

Finally, discussions were held regarding the project’s forthcoming activities, particularly the international training in Belgium, which aims to unite teachers and educators.
