CPA Caroline Vihenda is the current Office manager at HESPI Kenyan office. She is a professional with more than 14 years’ experience in Finance, Projects Management & Office Administration in both Public and Private Sectors. Caroline Holds Degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Finance option) from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Registered with Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK), she is Registered with Association of Women Accountants of Kenya (AWAK) where she served on PFM committee Board. She has done online courses in Monitoring and Evaluation, Strategic planning and Balance Score card. She is well conversant with accounting software’s ERP Microsoft Dynamics Navision and QuickBooks. On Projects, she has experience with World Bank, USAID, TMEA, KfW, African Development Bank, EU, DANIDA, Governments in Africa and County governments in Kenya.
Prior, she was Finance and Projects officer at Finnish Consulting Group Kenya, HQ in Finland where she handled Finance & Monitored ongoing projects in Africa with FCG Kenya, FCG Sweden, FCG New Zealand, FCG Germany and FCG Finland. She was a Manager at Africa Development Professional Group where she handled Finance, administration, HR, Tax matters, and all management consultancy assignments to governments and development partners in broad areas of Public Sector Reforms projects assignments, with particular focus on civil service reforms, public finance management; institutional/organizational review/development; decentralization and intergovernmental fiscal relations; sub-national government fiscal management; e-government; public service pay reforms; Strategic planning ,good governance and capacity building.
In the past, she worked as an Accountant at Eco plan Management Limited, firm specializing in Urban Planning and Environmental consultancy services, Caroline was an Accountant & an Audit assistant at Tax Plan Consulting Limited, a firm specializing in Accountancy, Auditing, Secretarial returns and Taxation expertise and a School Accountant at Friends Secondary School Dandora, where she established a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing working practices.
Besides, she has an excellent communication and writing skills with an ability to conduct research and produce excellent charts, figures and tables necessary for writing effective reports.
